  • Mission:  Our mission is to end childhood cancer through awareness, support, and the gift of hope. We do this through the collection of cool, fun bandages for kids and by raising money for pediatric cancer research.

The Hawk's Fund

  • The Hawks Fund supports Olathe East High School in helping students who need personal, school or emergency items
  • Support is discretely directed to Olathe East students and is administered by Olathe East's administration.

Giving the Basics – Dignity Drive

  • Giving The Basics provides the necessities of life that most people take for granted.
  • How to help:  Donate items such as laundry soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper and other personal care hygiene products

KC Pet Project

  • KC Pet Project cares for over 16,000 animals a year and works with other animal welfare organizations to increase the number of homeless pets adopted and focus on lifesaving programs promoting pet retention, identification, lost pet reunions, and supporting keeping families and their pets together throughout the community.
  • How to help:  Donate much needed items for the shelter

  • Mission: to provide resources, education and an environment for creative upcycling that encourages change in a more responsible community.
  • Collect:  craft, school, and office supplies (used and unused)

  • Students from the assigned Grade level will help create posters and advertise
  • PTO volunteers will help with organizing the event, along with sorting, processing, and logistics, as required. See sample task list below for the November project.
  • Volunteers can help with all projects, or just a few.  Volunteers can donate the amount of time they have - don't worry - you won't have to take responsibility for everything - we are a team that work together.  If you want to help publicize the event - that's great!  If you want to help sort and prepare donations for pickup - that's great!  Just communicate with the group and we can make it work!!!

During each month's community service project, we hope that you will consider making a donation to make the drive a success!  Students will bring home a flyer shortly before the event to give additional details.
